Details: Parma’s head coach Cristian Chivu, long rumored to be in the running for the Inter job, is officially leaving his current club. Parma, where the Romanian specialist has been at the helm, announced their farewell. The contract was terminated by mutual consent, with the club thanking Chivu for his efforts and wishing him every success in the future.
Quote: “The club bids farewell to Cristian Chivu, thanking him for his commitment and for leading the team to safety. His contribution during a challenging period of the season was crucial. We wish him all the best for the next chapter of his career,” Parma’s statement reads.
Reminder: After Cesc Fàbregas turned down the job, Chivu became the leading candidate to take over at Inter. There was also talk of a sensational return for former Nerazzurri manager José Mourinho, but for now, that idea remains off the table.
