Paris Saint-Germain has officially announced the signing of a burgeoning talent from São Paulo, as communicated on the official website of the French club.

The player, Lucas Beraldo, has committed to a contract with the Parisians until the year 2028. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the transfer fee amounted to 20 million euros.

“I’m really happy to be joining a club as ambitious as Paris Saint-Germain. This is an important step in my career and one that will help me to move forward. I can’t wait to get to know my new teammates and to take my first steps in this shirt,” Beraldo announced.

Lucas Beraldo previously showcased his skills in the youth squads of União Barbarense and XV de Novembro football clubs. In 2019, he joined the esteemed football academy of São Paulo. His debut for the senior team, known as the "Tricolors," took place on May 25, 2022, in a South American Cup match against the Peruvian club Ayacucho.

On July 20, 2022, Lucas Beraldo made his debut in the Brazilian Serie A in a match against Internacional. Having featured in 52 matches and scoring one goal for the first team, the young player has made a notable impact.

Recognizing the considerable likelihood of their forward's transition to a Spanish club, PSG, as reported by The Athletic, has begun formulating plans and allocating budgets in anticipation of a potential departure by Mbappé.
