Papi Zothwane's reign as Sekhukhune United coach starts with a goalless draw against TS Galaxy
Papi Zothwane's reign at Sekhukhune United started with a goalless draw against TS Galaxy this evening at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Zothwane took over from Cedric Kaze, who was let go by Babina Noko earlier this week following poor results.
But the former Richards Bay FC assistant coach was not able to steer Sekhukhune United out of their misery as they could not beat Galaxy at home.
It's not clear if the club are looking at appointing him on a permanent basis or not but perhaps a good start for him would have given him a great head-start to the job.
They remain 6th on the PSL table.
Now the big question would be whether Kaze was the problem or just the club going through a bad patch.
Last week they lost three times in a row to Orlando Pirates which was the reason Kaze was let go.
For now, Zothwane will keep holding the fort at the club.
