Palmer matches Marcelo’s achievement in European finals

On Wednesday, May 28, Chelsea secured a commanding 4-1 victory over Betis in the UEFA Europa Conference League final. Beyond the triumph, one of the Blues' stars etched his name into the history books of European finals.
Details: In this clash, midfielder Cole Palmer delivered a double assist, setting up goals for Enzo Fernández and Nicolas Jackson.
According to Opta, Palmer is the first player since Marcelo to provide two assists in a European final. The Brazilian full-back accomplished this feat in the 2018 Champions League final against Liverpool.
We also reported after the final that Chelsea rewrote football history. They are now the first club to conquer all four major European tournaments: the Cup Winners’ Cup, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Champions League, and now the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Reminder: Chelsea matched a unique record that had stood since the 1978/79 season.
