Owen asks Liverpool fans not to consider Alexander-Arnold a traitor if he moves to Real Madrid

The saga surrounding the potential departure of Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid, potentially on a free transfer, has sparked mixed reactions among the fans of the Merseyside club. However, Michael Owen, who once made a similar move, is asking supporters to show understanding.

Details: The 2001 Ballon d'Or winner stated that Trent has contributed significantly to Liverpool's success, and he deserves to be treated like a hero.

Quote: “The situation with Trent is very interesting... He’s done everything for Liverpool. He loves Liverpool. If he leaves, no one should deny him the chance to gain other experiences in life and in his career. Whatever happens, he should be considered a hero. Unfortunately, this affects how people perceive you. In the eyes of some, it might tarnish his legacy, but it shouldn't.

Trent has my number. A few guys used to keep horses in my stables, but we usually don’t talk about football unless I’m working. But I’ll be there on the other end of the phone for anyone who wants to discuss it,” Owen said, as quoted by The Telegraph.
