For the Bundesliga club, the arrival of the 20 year old could add a different profile to the forward line. Guiu is a central striker with significant potential, and Leipzig have a strong record of developing young attacking players. Chelsea, meanwhile, appear ready to sanction a permanent exit while retaining an interest in the player's future through the sell-on clause. The transfer still requires the final formal steps, but the player's expected trip suggests that the move is close to completion. It is another major change in Leipzig's attack after Christopher Nkunku's return to the club.
