Last week, the football world was stunned by the tragic news of the death of Panathinaikos and Greece national team right-back George Baldock, who was found dead in his own swimming pool. Today, it was revealed how the club intends to support the late footballer’s family.

Details: According to the Daily Mirror, Panathinaikos has decided to pay Baldock's family the full amount of his earnings under the three-year contract he had signed with the club.

This sum is meant to help Baldock’s wife raise their one-year-old child, who is now left without a father.

Reminder: Following Baldock’s passing, the Greece national team pulled off a sensational 2-1 victory against England, and later defeated Ireland 2-0. With 12 points, Greece currently leads their group in League B.
