Osimhen rejects £25 million-per-year contract
The future of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen remains up in the air, with Napoli not particularly eager to keep him and his transfer proving difficult to finalize. The latest developments are only fueling the uncertainty surrounding his next move.
Details: Saudi club Al Hilal, recently taken over by Simone Inzaghi, is eager to sign Osimhen. According to Sky Sports, the Middle Eastern side made two offers to the Nigerian: one worth £22 million per year in salary, and another at £25 million—both of which Osimhen turned down.
Complicating matters further, Napoli faces its own challenges, as Al Hilal is unwilling to activate the £63 million release clause and instead plans to table a bid of £59 million.
Reminder: Chelsea held talks to sign Osimhen this summer, but failed to reach an agreement with Napoli. The striker subsequently joined Turkish side Galatasaray on a season-long loan.
