Orlando Pirates veteran to remain on coaching staff
This summer, Orlando Pirates are set for a coaching staff overhaul, but no matter who takes the helm, one club veteran is certain to retain his place in the dugout.
Details: According to Soccer Laduma, there will definitely be a spot at the Soweto club for Mandla Ncikazi, who has been with Orlando Pirates since 2021. The 56-year-old specialist has twice served as caretaker coach—currently filling that role once again.
Back in the 2021/2022 season, before the arrival of Jose Riveiro, he held the same responsibilities, and the Spaniard kept him on as part of his staff, with Ncikazi serving as his assistant for the past three years. When Riveiro departed a month ago, Ncikazi once again stepped in as interim coach, and sources insist that he will remain on the incoming manager's coaching team, regardless of who gets the nod.
Recall: According to recent rumors, Orlando Pirates are in talks with former Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rhulani Mokwena.
