Marumo Gallants are making solid moves by bringing in a European reinforcement.
Details: According to FARPost, 29-year-old forward Jaisen Clifford from Bulgarian club Etar has agreed to join Marumo Gallants after a potential deal with Orlando Pirates fell through.
Reports indicate that Clifford will soon become a free agent, as his contract with Etar is set to expire and will not be renewed. His impressive performances last season caught the eye of several European clubs, but Marumo Gallants proved to be the most persistent.
Last season, Clifford featured in 33 matches for the Bulgarian side, netting 7 goals, but even that couldn’t secure his stay with the club.
The player's market value is estimated at €100,000, but Gallants will be able to sign him on a free transfer, making the deal even more attractive.
