Orlando Pirates line up Cape Town City's Emile Witbooi as a replacement for Relebohile Mofokeng

Orlando Pirates have identified Emile Witbooi as a potential replacement for Relebohile Mofokeng.

The Cape Town City midfielder is seen as a potential replacement for the departed Mofokeng in the coming Betway Premierhsip season.

Witbooi has been with City for the past four seasons with potential moves away from the Mother City club being mentioned with nothing concrete.

Now Pirates are seen as a front-runners to sign the enterprising midfielder who has similarities to Mofokeng.

Small physical structure and full of energy is what makes both players tick and Pirates would fit like a hand in a glove to Witbooi's style of play.

Witbooi has trained with English Premiership side, Chelsea, but nothing has come out of that assessment and his football in the Naional First Division may diminish his value.

So it would be ideal if City does let him join Pirates as there is a place for his style of play in the Sea Robbers camp.
