In the summer transfer window, Orlando Pirates will be looking to bring in top players for their new coach, and a promising candidate has appeared on the Buccaneers’ radar.

Details: According to Unplayable, the club is linked with a move for 23-year-old Malian midfielder Abdoulaye Mariko, who plays for local side Djoliba. With them, he finished second in the Malian league and also featured in seven matches in last season’s CAF Champions League. However, he did not register any goal contributions.

Additionally, in the group stage, Djoliba lost all four matches with Mariko on the pitch and failed to score a single goal. Nonetheless, the player has already gained valuable experience playing against African football giants such as Espérance and Pyramids.

Reminder: Earlier reports also mentioned MLS club FC Cincinnati showing interest in Orlando Pirates star Relebohile Mofokeng.
