This summer, Orlando Pirates are gearing up for a major squad overhaul as two of their players are rumored to be heading to Kaizer Chiefs. The club already knows who will kick off this new era.
Details: According to Soccer Laduma, the direct replacement for Innocent Maela and Paseka Mako—both linked with a move to the Amakhosi—will be 22-year-old defender Nkosikhona Ndaba. Sources report that the Richards Bay player has been offered a five-year contract.
Ndaba is expected to serve primarily as a replacement for Mako. The Pirates had long planned to bring in the 22-year-old wide defender, so the club wasn't too concerned about letting Paseka leave.
Reminder: Rulani Mokwena is also reportedly in the frame for a return to the Buccaneers, with media outlets reporting that he has already entered negotiations with the current South African vice-champions and CAF Champions League semifinalists.
