Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou on the title chase: We will do whatever it takes to fight for the PSL title as every game will be a final to us
Abdeslam Ouaddou has reiterated that Orlando Pirates will do whatever it takes to challenge for the Betway Premiership title.
The Sea Robbers gaffer said his team are prepared to leave no stone unturned as they pursue the PSL title having drew 1-1 against Siwelele FC at Orlando Amstel Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Tshepang Moremi equalised for Pirates after Vincent Pule scored the opening goal for the visiting team.
“We will die in every game like it’s a final. Nine more games, many things can happen, we have to keep pushing,” Ouaddou told SuperSport TV after the game.
“We did the game we wanted to do, we had the control, we played high in the last third of the opponent most of the time, we created so many chances, so the most difficult is to create the chances, which we did.”
Ouaddou credited Lehlohonolo Seema’s troops for their attack minded approach to the PSL encounter at a packed Soweto venue.
“We knew it would be very difficult against Siwelele, we have to congratulate them for their match, they took two points, unfortunately. Everyone saw the boys wanted to win this game but I’m not worried, if we keep playing like that until the end of the season, many things can happen, so we have to believe until the end,” he said.
That result left Pirates atop of the standings with 49 points, which is a single point more than second placed and defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.
