Orlando Pirates and PSL chairman Irvin Khoza pays his tribute to Jayden Adams
Orlando Pirates boss and PSL chairman Irvin Khoza has joined the chorus of tributes for departed Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Jayden Adams.
Adams, was announced death today, having taken an extended break from the team activities after a maiden World Cup debut with Bafana Bafana.
Sundowns felt he needed time to rest as the team is currently in Austria for their pre-season tour.
Khoza has since paid a glowing tribute to the midfielder.
“There are losses for which life, however painful, give us time to prepare – go itlhoboga,” said Irvin Khoza via the PSL.
“Jayden Adams’ untimely passing has left the nation stunned with grief. A young footballer of exceptional promise whose talent, humility and dedication had earned him the admiration of the nation.
“His star was unmistakably on the rise. In a short space of time, he created memories that will endure in South African football and in the nation’s reference points.
“Please accept our heartfelt condolences, and kindly convey them to Jayden Adams’ family and the broader Masandawana family.
“May his soul repose peacefully.”
