Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has spoken out about the injury crisis currently impacting his squad.

Quote: “We only have 13 players available, so we’re in a very difficult situation. Most of the players who take the field are finishing matches with issues, and we’re closely monitoring their recovery.

Tomorrow, only two goalkeepers and Erling Haaland will be able to train. We don’t have anyone else.

I don’t remember this many injuries in all my nine years here. I hope we come out of this situation even stronger, and that the players become more united than ever.

What matters is the number of players we have. But we have the academy, and if the senior players can’t compete, we’ll give the youngsters a chance. And we’re heading to Bournemouth to compete and win,” the coach told Sky.

Reminder: Currently sidelined for City are Kyle Walker, Rodri, Oscar Bobb, Jeremy Doku, Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish, Manuel Akanji, and Savinho.

Earlier, it was reported that Manchester City will extend the contract of Ballon d'Or winner Rodri before the end of the season.
