Frank Lampard took charge of Coventry City last year and, within a year, has managed to build an outstanding team that is now delivering excellent results.
Details: In the Matchday 23 fixture, Coventry defeated Swansea 1–0 to move onto 51 points for the season. They have also scored 54 goals so far.
According to Opta, Coventry are only the second team in Championship history to reach the halfway point of the season with 50+ points and 50+ goals scored. The first to achieve this were Wolverhampton in the 2008/09 season.
Coventry’s next match will be on December 29, when they host Ipswich Town. Their lead over second place has now grown to eight points.
Recently, 47-year-old Coventry City head coach Frank Lampard was named Championship Manager of the Month for November.
Reminder: Frank Lampard was appointed Coventry manager in November 2024. He has overseen 55 matches, recording 31 wins, 10 draws and 14 defeats.
