Legendary German midfielder Thomas Müller commented on the potential extension of his contract with Bayern Munich.

In an interview with SkySports, Müller expressed uncertainty about what lies ahead. While acknowledging that his body is aging, he is determined to combat it. However, as the German added, the issue is not about him or the length of the contract.

"Only the body ages. I fight against that. It's not about me or the duration of the contract. It's simple. I'm just trying to show the coach that I am also a viable option for the starting lineup," said Thomas Müller.

It’s worth noting that the 34-year-old Müller has been with Bayern Munich since 2000. He made his debut for the first team in 2008. Since then, he has played 684 matches for Bayern across all competitions, scoring 237 goals and providing 261 assists.

With the club, Müller has won the Champions League twice, been crowned Bundesliga champion 12 times, and clinched the DFB-Pokal six times. In 2014, he won the World Cup with the German national team.

Additionally, after the conclusion of Euro 2024, Thomas Müller announced his retirement from international football.
