Only details remain: Moyes close to Everton return

What had long been rumored is now becoming a reality. Sean Dyche has been dismissed as Everton’s head coach, and the club’s new leadership, headed by Dan Friedkin, is focused on finding his successor. A high-profile return appears imminent.

Details: According to Ben Jacobs, Everton’s management held talks today, January 10, with former manager David Moyes, who had been considered the frontrunner for the job at Goodison Park. The sides are nearing an agreement, with the deal expected to be finalized by the evening of January 11. However, an official announcement could come as early as January 10.

Moyes is expected to sign a contract with Everton lasting until the end of the 2024/2025 season.

Reminder: Moyes previously managed Everton from March 2002 to June 2013, during which the Toffees enjoyed one of the most successful periods in their history.
