Only 15 outfield players: Conceição addresses Milan’s limited squad for Champions League match
Milan will face Feyenoord in the UEFA Champions League playoff round on Wednesday, February 12. However, the Rossoneri are facing squad issues.
Details: As head coach Sérgio Conceição himself admitted, the team has only 15 outfield players available due to injuries, ineligible players for the Champions League squad, and reliance on youth players.
Quote: “Coaches always have their suitcases packed because football changes very quickly. The most important thing is to focus on the present, as the future depends on what we do now. I’m not worried about this. Even at Porto, I was told I might only stay for 3-4 months, but I ended up staying for seven years,” Conceição stated.
The match against Feyenoord will take place on Wednesday, February 12, at 21:00 CET.
Reminder: Feyenoord officially announced the dismissal of head coach Brian Priske just two days before the first leg of the Champions League playoff round against Milan.
