Experienced attacking midfielder Isco of Real Betis will be unable to participate in the Euro 2024.
According to the club's official website, Isco sustained a fracture of his left fibula in yesterday's La Liga match against Las Palmas.
Medical professionals will decide in the coming hours whether surgical intervention is necessary. The recovery timeline will depend on this decision, but his participation in Euro 2024 is completely ruled out.
Isco joined Betis last summer as a free agent. In 36 matches across all competitions, he has scored 9 goals and provided 7 assists.
The 32-year-old midfielder has received the MVP award 19 times this season and has been named among the top ten contenders for La Liga's Player of the Season award.
