Manchester City's head coach, Pep Guardiola, has provided an update on the condition of right-back Kyle Walker, who sustained an injury while playing for the England national team against Brazil.

According to the Spanish coach, medical experts predict that Walker will not recover in time for the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid, scheduled for April 9.

“The doctor said that Kyle Walker will not be ready to play against Real Madrid next week. But, Kyle is Kyle… and he has special genetics. The doctor said it was quite serious. But Kyle is Kyle!”, – Guardiola stated, as quoted by Sky Sports.

It's worth noting that due to his injury, Walker missed the previous match against Arsenal (0-0). Additionally, he will not be available for today's game against Aston Villa and the weekend match against Crystal Palace.

In the current season, the 33-year-old English defender has contributed 3 assists in 38 matches across all competitions.
