Three key defenders from Manchester City will not be able to help the team in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals against Real Madrid.

As reported by City Xtra, Kyle Walker, Nathan Ake, and João Cancelo missed today's training session. All three will not travel with the team to Madrid.

Walker is still recovering from an injury to the inner thigh he sustained during an England national team match against Brazil. Ake and Cancelo are dealing with minor knee muscle injuries.

It is likely that all three will also miss the Premier League match against Luton in the 33rd round.

The Real Madrid vs. Manchester City match will take place tomorrow, April 9, at the Santiago Bernabéu. Kick-off is at 21:00 Central European Time.
