One of Manchester City’s leaders could leave the club. Barcelona interested in the defender
Manchester City FC have already said goodbye to three major figures following the end of the season — Pep Guardiola, Bernardo Silva and John Stones. However, another key player could now be heading for the exit door.
Details: According to El Partidazo de COPE, croatian defender Josko Gvardiol may leave the team at the end of this season. With only one year remaining on his contract, City may decide to part ways with him this summer. FC Barcelona are interested in the player and are expected to work actively on completing the transfer.
Meanwhile, new Manchester City head coach Enzo Maresca has reportedly informed the club’s hierarchy of his desire to sign Brahim Díaz, the 26-year-old Morocco international and winger for Real Madrid.
Reminder: 31-year-old attacking midfielder Bernardo Silva is on the verge of joining FC Barcelona as a free agent. However, the move is far from straightforward for the Catalan giants.
