After seven years working in Real Madrid's academy, Raúl has decided to leave the club of his life. The “Merengues” didn’t take long to find a replacement for their former striker at the helm of the reserve squad.

Details: The new Castilla head coach is Álvaro Arbeloa, who previously managed the U19 team. The former Real Madrid defender has been working with the club’s youth teams since 2020, starting with the U14s.

In the 2022/2023 season, Arbeloa’s U19 side clinched a historic treble: the league title, the Spanish Cup, and the UEFA Youth League.

Reminder: From 2009 to 2016, Arbeloa played as a defender for Real Madrid’s first team. During his time with Los Blancos, he won two Champions League trophies, a FIFA Club World Cup, a UEFA Super Cup, one La Liga title, two Copa del Rey trophies, and a Spanish Super Cup.
