Belgian winger Adnan Januzaj will stay at Spanish club Sevilla.

Insider Sacha Tavolieri has rejected reports suggesting that the 28-year-old player could have ended up at Belgian club Anderlecht. Moreover, the player's representatives never considered this option.

It is added that the transfer window for the Belgian club closed for itself on Tuesday. Januzaj is more well-known for his performances with Manchester United from 2012 to 2016.

He played 63 matches for the Red Devils, scoring five goals and providing six assists. He joined Sevilla in August 2022 but has only played 16 matches for the Andalusian team in one and a half years, contributing with one assist.

Former Sevilla player Ivan Rakitić has left the club and will continue his career at Saudi club Al-Shabab.
