Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana faced a barrage of criticism last season, but the Cameroonian remains determined to help his team in any way possible—even off the pitch.
Details: According to the Manchester Evening News, Onana has encouraged his Cameroon national teammate Bryan Mbeumo to choose Manchester United over Tottenham, who are also keen on signing the Brentford forward.
Manchester United has a long-standing tradition: club players often use international breaks to persuade their national teammates to join the Red Devils. Most recently, Erik ten Hag reunited at Old Trafford with six players he previously coached at Ajax.
Reminder: Earlier, Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada reiterated the club's ambition to win the Premier League by 2028, despite last season's 15th-place finish.
