On the verge of a brawl. Haney shoved Garcia during a battle of stares

The WBC super lightweight champion Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia engaged in a staredown before their upcoming bout.

As expected, the event was not without incident. Tensions flared between the boxers, leading to a heated exchange and a shove from Haney towards his opponent. The situation almost escalated into a brawl but was defused by representatives from both camps.

The fight between Haney and Garcia is scheduled for April 20th in New York. Haney's father previously disclosed how the purse would be split between the fighters for their upcoming bout.

This will be the seventh time the boxers have faced each other, but their first in a professional capacity. They previously met six times in amateur boxing.

Garcia's last fight was in December of last year, where he defeated Oscar Duarte. Haney's most recent victory came in December of last year against Regis Prograis, securing him the championship title.
