Olympic Games 2026. Schedule and results of the ice hockey tournament

The 2026 Olympic Games are already in full swing, although not all sports have begun their competitions yet. The ice hockey tournament gets underway on Wednesday, 11 February.
A total of 12 teams will compete in the men’s tournament. The competition will be held at two venues located within the Milan cluster: PalaItalia (Santa Giulia) and one of the halls at Fiera Milano.
Notably, for the first time since 2014, representatives of the National Hockey League will take part in the Winter Olympic Games.

The 12 teams have been divided into three groups, and all teams will advance to the playoff stage. However, the top four teams will qualify directly for the quarter-finals. The remaining eight teams will contest the round of 16. The four winners from that stage will complete the quarter-final pairings.
