Algerian boxer Imane Khelif became the Olympic champion at the Paris Games. However, she has been surrounded by scandalous rumors regarding her gender, and she is now ready to take the matter to court.
Details: According to Daily Mail, the boxer herself stated that she is prepared to file a lawsuit against a French journalist. The issue arose when this journalist claimed to have obtained a copy of a medical report allegedly proving that Khelif has a sex development disorder typically associated with males.
However, Khelif denies these claims and is ready to take legal action against the journalist.
Quote: “I have seen many politicians and presidents speaking without sources, which is strange, as they make statements without any foundation or reality, lacking any real facts. The IOC has all the tools to make a proper decision. We will meet this French journalist in court”, stated the Algerian boxer.
Reminder: After her first bout at the Olympics against Italy’s Angela Carini, the fight lasted only 46 seconds, after which the Italian athlete was unable to continue.
A tremendous scandal followed, with Imane Khélif being falsely accused of being transgender. You can interpret this information as you wish, but it’s crucial to understand: a transgender person is someone who has undergone gender transition, whereas elevated testosterone levels are something entirely different
Additionally, Imane chose to address the criticism and controversy that arose during the Olympic Games.
