American sprinter Noah Lyles displayed an extraordinary will to win today.

According to The Athletic, Lyles was diagnosed with COVID-19 just two days before the final 200-meter race. Despite this setback, he managed to recover enough to compete.

In an incredible show of determination, Lyles finished third, securing a bronze medal for his country. He left the stadium on a stretcher.

It's worth noting that Lyles previously became the Olympic champion in the 100 meters.

Today, the gold medal in the 200 meters was claimed by Letsile Tebogo, marking the first-ever Olympic gold for Botswana.
