Oh no! Manchester United leader injured
Manchester United have received another worrying injury update during the international break.
Details: According to Manchester Evening News journalist Tyrone Marshall, Benjamin Šeško missed Manchester United's behind-closed-doors friendly against Swiss side FC Lausanne-Sport while undergoing further tests and scans on a persistent shin injury.
The problem has already kept the Slovenian striker out of action. Manchester United previously confirmed that Šeško had withdrawn from the Slovenia squad and would remain with the club to undergo medical tests before an individual recovery plan was determined.
Šeško's most recent appearance came in the Carabao Cup match against Brighton. He was then left out of the squad for the Premier League meeting with Fulham, and the latest update suggests the medical staff are still trying to establish the best way to deal with the recurring shin issue. United's next competitive fixture is scheduled for October 10, when Michael Carrick's team host Tottenham at Old Trafford.
It is worth noting that Šeško officially joined Manchester United on August 9, 2025. In his debut 2025/26 campaign, the Slovenian scored 12 goals in all competitions, finishing joint-top of the club's scoring chart alongside Bryan Mbeumo.
