Official: Vladimir Petković extends his contract with the Algerian national team

The Swiss manager will continue to lead the Fennecs for the next two years.

As previously reported by Dailysports, Vladimir Petković’s contract extension was made official on Sunday 7 June. He has renewed his contract as head coach of the Algerian national team. In post since February 2024, the 62-year-old Swiss coach continues to enjoy the confidence of the Algerian Football Federation.

The governing body of Algerian football has decided to retain him as head coach. He has extended his contract by two years, until 2028. The announcement of Vladimir Petković’s contract extension comes as the Algerian national team prepares to travel to the Americas for the World Cup co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
