Details: According to The Athletic, today UEFA has handed down a verdict for 25-year-old Real Madrid winger Rodrygo after he insulted referee Davide Massa during the Matchday 8 group stage clash against Benfica.

It is reported that Rodrygo was extremely unhappy with the referee’s decisions, expressing his frustration with offensive language. The incident was included in the official match report, and today UEFA announced that Rodrygo will be suspended for two Champions League matches, meaning the Brazilian will be unavailable to help Los Blancos in the playoff tie against Benfica.
The Champions League playoff clash between Real Madrid and Benfica will take place on February 17th at Estádio da Luz, with the return leg scheduled for February 25th in Madrid.
