Legendary Paraguayan goalkeeper José Luis Chilavert has sparked a major scandal with his recent statements.
Details: Speaking live on Radio Rivadavia, former footballer José Luis Chilavert came out in support of Benfica player Gianluca Prestianni in his conflict with Vinícius Júnior. Chilavert sharply rejected modern principles of tolerance, claiming that football is losing its masculine essence due to the excessive attention to microphones and cameras.
Commenting on the incident during the Champions League match between Benfica and Real Madrid, Chilavert sided with Prestianni, accusing Vinícius of provoking the situation.
“I support Prestianni! Vinícius is always the first to insult everyone. The first insult came from him,” the Paraguayan declared.
The former keeper also added that any potential punishment for the Benfica player would be a sign of victory for the LGBT community and a sign that football is turning into a gay sport, which he insisted used to be a game for men.
Beyond the racist scandal, Chilavert also lashed out at Kylian Mbappé, questioning his right to speak about morals.
“Kylian Mbappé lives with a transvestite and talks about values. That’s not normal,” the legendary goalkeeper said.
According to Chilavert, the French forward’s personal life contradicts the traditional values he believes are the only ones suitable for the football world.
Reminder: FIFA will consider the creation of the “Prestianni Law.”
