Tottenham has managed to retain striker Timo Werner for the next season. The German forward's loan has been extended for the 2024/25 season, as confirmed by the official website of the Spurs.

The German striker, who joined on loan from a Bundesliga club in January, was a regular player for Ange Postecoglou's team in the latter half of last season. In the Premier League, Werner played 13 matches, scoring two goals and providing three assists.

It is worth noting that Timo has previously played in England, becoming a player for Chelsea in 2020. The transfer fee was around £50 million. However, on August 9, 2022, he returned to Leipzig. In the winter of 2024, the forward returned to London, but this time as a player for the Spurs.

Earlier reports suggested that even if Tottenham did not want to buy out the forward's contract, considering his uncertain future at RB Leipzig, the likelihood of Werner leaving the Bulls this summer remains very high, despite his contract running until 2026.

Additionally, Tottenham's manager has requested the club's management to make at least three transfers in the upcoming window.
