OFFICIAL. The manager of the sensational Ipswich Town has extended his contract with the club
The head coach of Ipswich Town, Kieran McKenna, has officially extended his contract with the club. His new deal will keep him at Ipswich until 2028.
"We have achieved incredible success together over the past two seasons, and I am thrilled for the opportunity and responsibility to lead this fantastic club into its first season in the Premier League in 22 years.
Preparation and planning for the upcoming challenges have been ongoing since we secured promotion in early May, and there is still much work to be done before the start of the new season, which is such an exciting time for everyone at the club.
I am delighted to commit my future to the next stage with Ipswich Town and look forward to what lies ahead as we continue this journey together," commented the coach on his continued collaboration with the club.
Under McKenna's guidance, Ipswich sensationally secured promotion to the English Premier League, despite the team's participation in the third division in the 2022/23 season.
Following a highly successful season, McKenna has been linked with several Premier League clubs. In addition to Brighton, Chelsea and Manchester United have shown interest in him.
Before joining Ipswich, the coach worked at Manchester United, where he served as an assistant to Ralph Rangnick, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and Jose Mourinho.
