OFFICIAL. The Italian champion has extended the contract with their coach

The reigning Serie A champion, Inter Milan, has decided to extend the contract with their head coach, Simone Inzaghi.

The new agreement runs until the summer of 2026. Financial terms have not been disclosed, but according to Fabrizio Romano, the 48-year-old Italian's salary will be €6.5 million net per season, making him the highest-paid coach in Serie A.

Inzaghi took charge of Inter in June 2021. Under his leadership, the club has won the Italian championship, twice claimed the Coppa Italia, thrice secured the Supercoppa Italiana, and reached the Champions League final.

At the end of May, Inter acquired new owners. The club is now owned by Oaktree Capital.

Notably, Inter has undergone a squad overhaul this summer, with five players leaving the team.
