Official! Serie A club lands a new €18m striker
Fiorentina have finally found the new centre-forward they were looking for.
Details: Fiorentina have completed the permanent signing of Beto from Everton. Reports in Italy put the transfer fee at around €18 million, bringing the 28-year-old striker back to Serie A after three seasons in English football.
Beto arrived in Florence before the deal was completed and underwent the required medical examinations. Italian media subsequently reported that the necessary documents had been deposited, making the transfer official.
The move marks a return to Italian football for the Guinea-Bissau international. Before joining Everton in 2023, the powerful 1.94-metre forward spent two seasons with Udinese and established himself in Serie A.
It is worth noting that Beto made 32 appearances for Everton across the Premier League, FA Cup and EFL Cup in the 2025/26 season, scoring five goals. Transfermarkt's latest available valuation, updated in June 2026, stands at €18 million.
