Official: Seko Fofana joins Porto

Details: Today, Porto’s official account on social network X announced that 30-year-old Ivorian midfielder Seko Fofana from Rennes has officially joined the Dragons on a loan deal.
The loan is set to run until the end of the season and is valued at 2 million euros. However, the agreement also includes a purchase option for the player’s contract at 17 million euros, as well as additional financial bonuses, including a resale clause.
Fofana joined Rennes at the start of 2025 from Saudi side Al-Nassr for 20 million euros. He has made 29 appearances for the French club, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist.
This season, Fofana has played 12 matches for Rennes, netting 1 goal. According to Transfermarkt, Seko Fofana’s market value is estimated at 8 million euros.
