Official: Samuel Dahl joins Benfica

The Portuguese giants have exercised their option to buy and paid a hefty sum for the deal.
Details: According to Roma News, Benfica and Roma have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of Samuel Dahl to the Eagles' squad.
For the last half of the season, the 22-year-old defender played for Benfica on loan, as he wasn't getting enough game time at Roma—the young Swede decided to try his luck in Portugal.
Samuel Dahl made 18 appearances for Benfica, providing six assists in those matches.
Despite a €10 million buyout clause being included in the contract, Benfica managed to secure the transfer for slightly less—€9 million. The new deal runs until 2029.
Dahl joined Roma in the summer of 2024 from Djurgården for €4 million, but he was unable to establish himself in the starting lineup, playing just 60 minutes in total for the Wolves.
Transfermarkt currently values Dahl at €7 million.
Recall: Karreas could play in the Club World Cup for Benfica, despite interest from Real Madrid.
