Brazilian club Atlético Mineiro has secured the signing of 27-year-old left-back Renan Lodi.
Details: Atlético Mineiro announced the signing of the Brazilian defender. The contract is set for five years, and the player's official presentation will take place after he completes his medical examination.
Previously, Renan Lodi played for Saudi club Al Hilal, where he made 56 appearances, scoring 4 goals and providing 11 assists. Ahead of the current season, Al Hilal's head coach Simone Inzaghi left Lodi out of the squad for the league campaign, prompting the defender to terminate his contract.
In Europe, Renan Lodi is best known for his time at Atlético Madrid, where he featured in 118 matches, scored 6 goals, and delivered 10 assists.
It's worth noting that last season, Atlético Mineiro finished 11th in the Brazilian Serie A and will now compete in the Copa Sudamericana.
Reminder: Real could sign Al Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves for free as early as next summer.
