Official: Olivier Giroud joins Lille
Lille has warmly welcomed the experienced striker to their squad.
Details: Today, the official page of French club Lille on social network X announced the signing of 38-year-old striker Olivier Giroud.
Giroud joins the club as a free agent after his contract with American side Los Angeles was not extended. According to official sources, the cooperation agreement has been signed for one year.
For Olivier, this is a golden opportunity to make a final statement, proving to everyone that he can still compete at the highest level despite his age.
Giroud began his professional journey in French Ligue 1, playing for Montpellier from 2010 to 2012 before moving to London’s Arsenal, where he stayed until 2018. His career then took him to Chelsea, Milan, and the aforementioned Los Angeles.
It’s safe to say the seasoned French veteran is coming home.
