Here we go! Olivier Giroud returns to Europe

Olivier Giroud left Milan to join Los Angeles FC, but now he’s set his sights back on Europe—there’s already a club lined up to sign him.
Details: Insider Fabrizio Romano has delivered his trademark "here we go" on Giroud’s move to French side Lille. The contract will be for one season, with the Ligue 1 club having already prepared all the necessary paperwork. The striker is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days.
Giroud’s deal with Los Angeles runs through December of this year, but the Frenchman isn’t willing to wait another six months—he’s determined to leave the United States this summer.
Giroud previously played in France’s Ligue 1 from the 2010/11 to 2012/13 seasons with Montpellier, before leaving his home league for the Premier League, where he donned the colors of Arsenal in London.
Reminder: Canadian striker Jonathan David left Lille at the end of last season and is currently a free agent.
