After a two-year hiatus, fans can once again look forward to watching one of the most electrifying and polarizing tennis players of the decade back in action.

Details: 29-year-old Australian Nick Kyrgios has officially announced his return to professional tennis.

Kyrgios is set to compete in the Brisbane International in December as part of his preparations for the 2025 Australian Open. Following that, he will participate in the World Tennis League exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi.

"In 2022, I had an incredible year. Then, during the Wimbledon and US Open finals, I started having wrist problems. I underwent surgery to repair my wrist, and now I feel amazing."

"The chances of me returning to play at this level were just 15 miraculous percent—and here we are," Kyrgios shared.

The Australian has not competed in Grand Slam events since 2022, when he lost to Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals.

Reminder: Tennis legend Andy Murray recently announced his plans to explore a new challenge—stepping onto the theatrical stage.
