Official: Neuer extends contract with Bayern

Veteran German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has been with Bayern Munich since 2011, and he will now remain at his lifelong club even longer.

Details: Bayern’s press office has announced that the Rekordmeister have extended the 38-year-old goalkeeper’s contract until June 2026. The financial terms of Neuer’s new deal have not been disclosed, but his previous contract was set to expire at the end of the season.

Quote: “I love playing football, and I want to remain a Bayern player. I am still hungry and looking forward to another year at this special club. Our negotiations have always gone well. It’s a great feeling. I feel good, and we still have many goals to achieve together,” Neuer said.

Reminder: Neuer has played 547 matches for Bayern, keeping 258 clean sheets and conceding 450 goals. The club recently signed Cologne goalkeeper Jonas Urbig.
