Bayern Munich has bolstered its goalkeeping ranks by officially signing Cologne goalkeeper Jonas Urbig.

Details: The Munich club announced on its social media platforms that the 21-year-old goalkeeper has signed a contract with the team until 2029. Urbig will wear the number 40 jersey.

Quote: "Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world. I’m proud to be here and can’t wait to get to know my new team as soon as possible," Jonas said.

Meanwhile, Chelsea has not given up on signing Bayern’s Mathys Tel. However, this transfer may be finalized as a monetary deal rather than a swap involving Christopher Nkunku.

Reminder: Bayern’s sporting director Christoph Freund recently commented on ongoing contract negotiations with Joshua Kimmich.

Previously, it was reported that Real Madrid has seized this opportunity and initiated talks with the midfielder.
