OFFICIAL. Matthijs de Ligt has joined Manchester United

Manchester United has officially completed the transfer of Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt.

The player has signed a five-year contract with the Red Devils, with an option for a one-year extension. According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United will pay €45 million plus €5 million in add-ons for the player.

By the way, the team's full-back Luke Shaw will miss several Premier League starts due to a shin injury.

Another potential signing for United this summer is PSG's defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte, though the club may only afford a loan with an option to buy.

It’s also worth noting that right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has moved from Manchester United to West Ham, with the London club paying £15 million for the transfer.
