Nottingham Forest have announced the signing of goalkeeper Stefan Ortega.

Details: The 33-year-old German shot-stopper has left Manchester City and joined the "Tricky Trees" on a permanent deal. The contract with the experienced goalkeeper runs until June 2026.

Director of Football Edu Gaspar emphasized that bringing in Ortega was a top priority for the club.

"Stefan has a winner's mentality and vast experience. As soon as it became clear that we needed to strengthen our goalkeeping position, he immediately became our main target. He will create great competition and help the team both on and off the pitch," Edu highlighted.

It's worth noting that this season the German goalkeeper did not make a single matchday squad for Manchester City. His last appearance came back in June 2026 at the Club World Cup against Al Ain from the UAE.

Reminder: Juventus are preparing to sign Manchester City's young talent Justin Oboavwoduo.
