An incredible 13-year era is coming to a close. Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modrić has announced his departure from the club.

Details: The Croatian playmaker revealed his decision on his Instagram account. In a letter to fans, he stated that tomorrow would be his final home match for Los Blancos, with his official exit coming after the FIFA Club World Cup.

Quote: "I want to thank the club from the bottom of my heart, especially President Florentino Pérez, my teammates, coaches, and everyone who has supported me all these years.

Over the years, I’ve experienced incredible moments, comebacks that seemed impossible, finals, celebrations, and magical nights at the Bernabéu... We won everything and I was truly happy. Very, very happy," Modrić wrote in his letter.

Reminder: During his 13 years with Real, the Croatian played 590 matches, scoring 43 goals and providing 95 assists.
